Domaine Hubert Lamy

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

The Lamys are a family of winegrowers that have been in Saint-Aubin since 1640. In 1973 Hubert Lamy created the estate, which at the time, was 7 ha. A new winery was built in 1980 and the it was further enlarged in 2002. Olivier, his son, joined Herbert in 1998. The estate now operates 18.5 ha of which 10.8 ha are located in 1er Crus in the communes of Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay.

Lamy Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles
TERROIR & VINEYARD

Family since 1640. 18.5 hectares. Organic practices. High-density plantings up to 30,000 vines/ha.

VINIFICATION

Fermented with ambient yeast. Aged 24 months on lees in 300/600L barrels (mostly used). Additional 6 months in tank. SO2 only during aging.

TASTING NOTES

Precise and mineral with citrus, white peach, and a taut, almost Puligny-like character. Focused and pure.
