ABOUT THE PRODUCER

190 years of continuous work for a discreet family saga which over 6 generations has passed on the know-how and passion for vines and wine. A success in reserve, however widely recognized in the world of wine and hailed outside our borders. Clos Triguedina is indeed an essential reference in the Cahors vineyard.

Clos Triguedina Cahors Clos Triguedina
TERROIR & VINEYARD

65 hectares spanning 2nd-4th terraces of the Lot valley on clay-limestone. 7th generation Baldès family.

VINIFICATION

Hand-sorted. Fermented in temperature-controlled tanks. Aged in a combination of French oak barrels, foudres, and demi-muids.

TASTING NOTES

Deep garnet. Black fruit, plum, and violet with spice and tobacco. Full-bodied with firm tannins, good structure, and a long finish.

Clos Triguedina Cahors le Petit Clos
TERROIR & VINEYARD

Lower terraces of the Lot valley. Warmer conditions and richer soils for earlier ripening.

VINIFICATION

Fermented and aged entirely in tank. No oak. Designed for pure, forward fruit.

TASTING NOTES

Bright garnet. Violet, wild blackberry, and cassis with red berries. Medium-bodied, juicy, with soft tannins and a fresh finish.

Clos Triguedina Cahors Malbec du Clos
TERROIR & VINEYARD

Clay-limestone soils on the terraces of the Lot valley.

VINIFICATION

Temperature-controlled fermentation. Short aging in tank and/or barrel.

TASTING NOTES

Pure Malbec expression: dark fruit, plum, and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied with approachable tannins.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

Selection of the finest old-vine Malbec parcels on clay-limestone.

VINIFICATION

Extended maceration. Aged 24+ months in new French oak barrels.

TASTING NOTES

Named after Emperor Probus. Intense and concentrated: black fruit, truffle, cocoa, and exotic spice. Powerful with massive tannins and extraordinary length.
