ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Domaine La Font de Notre Dame is is a very old family estate run by the roux family Roux, whose name comes from a place of pilgrimage visited by the Provencal people in the Middle Ages which was to protect them from the plague! The Domaine is based in Gigondas in the Southern Rhone wine region. “Le Mas” is a french word for “farmhouse located in the Provence” (south of France). The estate is actually in such a Mas/farmhouse, and is quite a famous one, the origin dates from the 10th century, it has been used in the past for movies, etc

TERROIR & VINEYARD

26 hectares at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Century-old Grenache vines planted by great-grandfather Jules Roux.

VINIFICATION

Traditional Southern Rhône vinification. Aged in concrete and large oak.

TASTING NOTES

Rich and concentrated with ripe dark fruit, garrigue, and spice. Full-bodied with powerful tannins and a long, warm finish.

Vineyards in the Lirac appellation. Roux family.

VINIFICATION

Traditional vinification. Aged in tank and large oak.

TASTING NOTES

Red and dark fruit with herbal and spicy notes. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins and a fresh finish.
