ABOUT THE PRODUCER

La Vedetta is a young, artisanal winery in Barbaresco, Italy, founded in 2016 by Marco Viglino and Swantje Rausch. Located in the Tre Stelle hamlet, they focus on crafting elegant, organic-certified, and traditional Piemontese wines, including Barbaresco DOCG, Barbera d’Asti, and Langhe Nebbiolo. Quickly becoming a standout, La Vedetta producers about 10,000 bottles a year, their philosophy is to produce “naked” wines that express the pure, traditional terroir of the Langhe.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

3.5 hectares. 3km west of Barbaresco. Founded 2016 by Marco Viglino.

VINIFICATION

Traditional vinification. Extended maceration. Aged in large Slavonian oak.

TASTING NOTES

Explosion of ripe red fruit, floral notes, and persistent violet. Exuberant youth with moderate astringency and stimulating minerality.

La Vedetta Barbaresco DOCG Cà Grossa
TERROIR & VINEYARD

Cà Grossa MGA. Marly limestone with sandstone. Fresh microclimate. Partially sandy soils.

VINIFICATION

Traditional vinification. Extended maceration. Aged in large oak.

TASTING NOTES

Graceful and balanced. Ripe red fruit, spices, violet. Rose water, wet tobacco, sweet red cherries. Richly aromatic and finessed.

La Vedetta Barbera d'Asti DOCG Sarasino
TERROIR & VINEYARD

1.5 hectares in Sarasino with full southern exposure.

VINIFICATION

Traditional vinification. Aged in tank and/or barrel.

TASTING NOTES

Distinctly feminine Barbera. Red fruits, blackberry, roses, spices, vanilla. Vibrant fruit with crisp acidity. Elegant with a savory note.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

Langhe DOC vineyards.

VINIFICATION

Fermented in stainless steel.

TASTING NOTES

Fresh and aromatic with citrus, white fruit, and floral notes. Light-bodied with crisp acidity.
