ABOUT THE PRODUCER

This small multigenerational family producer has a long history. They are located in the heart of Chavignol, considered a Cru of Sancerre. Serge’s son, Guillaume, succeeded his father as the winemaker about 10 vintages ago and has certainly raised the bar.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

14 hectares. 45+ parcels. 7th generation. Sustainable, no herbicides. Kimmeridgian limestone and flint soils.

VINIFICATION

Fermented in stainless steel. Some cuvées with barrel or amphora aging.

TASTING NOTES

Classic Sancerre: citrus, grapefruit, and mineral. Crisp acidity with a taut, persistent finish.

TERROIR & VINEYARD

VINIFICATION

12 months aging in earthenware amphora. 12 months rest in cellar. 8+ year aging potential.

TASTING NOTES

Prestigious south-facing Chavignol hillside. Fleshy with exotic fruit and beautiful mineral length from Kimmeridgian soil.

Complex and age-worthy. Taut and tense in youth. Barrel aging adds depth and texture to the classic Sancerre minerality.
